Four close games for the quartet of Worcester City Youth sides in action on Saturday with three of the fixtures being settled by a 2-1 scoreline.
Oliver Piekarski and Charlie Lannie were on the mark for the Under 12s as they overcame Birmingham City by the odd goal in three.
A similar winning margin was achieved by a youthful Reserve side featuring nine teenagers that won 2-1 at Coton Green, thanks to first-half efforts from Joel Owusu and Callum Harper.
The Under 16s lost out to a late strike in their friendly run-out at Solihull Moors. After falling behind in the 16th minute, City were kept at bay by the home goalkeeper before their second-half domination was rewarded 10 minutes from time when Matty Patrick-Rivers netted from the penalty spot after being brought down. However with just seconds remaining until the final whistle, Moors netted what proved to be the winner after a goalmouth scramble that followed a corner.
Another tight contest saw the Under 11s share the spoils with Halesowen Town.
