Central defender on our Buildbase FA Vase victory over Sherwood Colliery...

DESPITE making it through to the next round of the Buildbase FA Vase with a hard-earned 4-3 victory over Sherwood Colliery, central defender, Alexandru Albert, was unhappy with the goals that we conceded.
"We made it harder for ourselves than it needed to be," he admitted. "Once we went two goals up we allowed them to get back into it and conceded a couple of poor goals in quick succession.
"The conditions were difficult out there but the main thing was that we made it through to the next round.
"We want to go on a run in this competition, so I am pleased that we are through but we know that there are areas of our game that we have to improve upon.
"The focus now goes straight back onto the League because we have another important game on Tuesday evening at Sporting Khalsa.
"We know that we have to be able to get our defensive shape right, and we will be working hard to achieve this.
"There's plenty of room for improvement and we have a collective responsibility to work at it and take each game at a time."
