CITY return to the Buildbase FA Vase trail on Saturday with a first round encounter against Sherwood Colliery (kick-off 3.00pm).
“This is a competition that we really want to do well in,” said skipper, Brad Birch. “The lads are buzzing for Saturday.
“Any cup competition with a Wembley Final at the end of it is special. I don’t know too much about our opponents if I’m being honest, but the Gaffers have done their homework and we’ll be well prepared.
“We had a productive training session on Tuesday and it will be the same on Thursday as we get ready for the challenge ahead.
“Our approach has to be right and we know that we’re going to have to roll our sleeves up and put in a shift.
“It’s all about what happens on the day and if we’re at it, I am confident that we will progress into the next round.”
