£100 Season Tickets on offer until 30th June 2013

Statement by Worcester City Football Club Board of Directors

The Board accepts that the last few weeks have been a particularly difficult period for the club, its management team and players alike. However, given the uncertainty around attendance numbers next season and the need to set realistic budgets, the Board wanted to be assured that it could fulfil its obligations to players and supporters before committing to move forward into next season.

The Board has therefore reviewed all options available to it and based on the positive discussions it has had with partners, it is now confident that it can move into next season with renewed optimism about the long term viability of the Football Club.

The Board can therefore confirm that it has registered with the Football Conference to play in the Blue Square North next season. As previously reported the Club will play its home games at Aggborough, the home of Kidderminster Harriers Football Club.

The Board can also confirm that it will be proceeding with the £100 season ticket offer and the Club would like to place on record its thanks to those who have already committed to buying one. Those applications received to date will now be processed and the funds banked.

It is perfectly understandable that the uncertainty around the future of the Football Club has had a negative impact on Season Ticket sales and sponsorship. Whilst a number of £100 Season Tickets have been sold, the Club hopes that that now that this uncertainty has been removed supporters and sponsors will commit to investing in the Football Club.

The Board has therefore agreed to extend the deadline for the sale of £100 Season Tickets and these will be available until 30th June 2013. From 1 July 2013 Season Ticket prices will revert to the normal prices (providing for 3 free games).

Carl and Matt have committed their future to the Football Club and continue to plan for next season. The Board is grateful to them for their continued commitment and hopes that the removal of the uncertainty around the Football Club and the renewed optimism about the longer term viability of the Club will assist them in attracting players to the Football Club.

The Board is mindful of the impact this uncertainty has had over the past few weeks and it would like to thank its staff, management and supporters in continuing to support the Football Club during this difficult time. It would now urge everyone with an interest in Worcester City Football Club to get behind the Club as it moves forward.
