Two new additions to club board

Worcester City Football Club are delighted to announce the addition of two new Directors to the Football Club Board

Trust Board members Mike Davis and Luke Cox will be joining the Club Board, bringing additional experience to assist the club as it continues the journey to return back home

This decision was made unanimously at a Club board meeting on 03 December 2018, it was agreed that both Mike and Luke will aid to further solidify the unified relationship between the Club and the Supporters’ Trust as a coherent joint strategy to return to Worcester and build a sustainable future for Worcester City

Their inclusion will bring the number of Trust Board representatives on the Club Board up to three, including Trust Chairman Dave Wood who joined back in July

Mike Davis is a life-long City fan and retired businessman who many supporters will be familiar with. Mike has previously served as a Director at City and was the first ever Supporters Representative on the Board. Mike has six years of experience under his belt on the Board during which he introduced the hugely successful Gold Bond Lottery and was instrumental in developing the durability of the pitch at St. George’s Lane

Luke Cox is a City fan and a recent Football Business & Marketing graduate from UCFB Wembley who brings a broad plethora of experience from within the football industry to City. Most recently, Luke serves on the board of Supporters Direct, the national organisation that promotes good governance, supporter representation and community ownership within the game

Chairman Steve Goode said ‘this is yet another positive milestone as we all work together to move the club in the right direction. We still have a long road ahead of us, however, these additions to the Football Club will only help us to progress. This should be encouraging for City fans to hear as Mike and Luke both bring diverse skillsets and will be real assets to the club’

Club Director & Trust Chairman Dave Wood added ‘for a club to achieve on the pitch, it’s needs to be sustainable off the pitch to have the resources to back that. Mike and Luke both will be looking to work with me on our business development efforts in addition to further strengthening the already robust Club-Supporters’ Trust relationship. It’s great to have more supporter representatives involved at the club’
