"I hope both I and the Club can grow together"

Worcester City FC have today agreed for Dr Rajpal Nandra to join the Club and help with injuries moving forward with both the players and also supporters.

Rajpal, 36, graduated from the Royal London Medical School in 1998 and is qualified to offer both general practice care and trauma care. What this means is that he can deal with most common illness, acute injuries and also provide advice on orthopaedic injuries and refer to appropriate orthopaedic surgeons.

He has worked as a junior doctor in a number of London hospitals before returning to Birmingham to train as a GP. With a tenacious interest is surgery and sports injuries he was awarded an academic orthopedic training post in the West Midlands.

After a discussion with a senior FA doctor, Rajpal plans to create a file for each player, documenting baseline observations, past medical / surgical history and any correspondence generated or treatment that is performed.

Rajpal is also asking his colleague in the FA to visit the Club once he is settled in to iron out any problems.

Any spectators that require any medical assistance will still have the trained first aiders on site and should seek any help from them in the first instance, the Doctor will be called for his opinion if required.

Rajpal will be undertaking his duties on a voluntary basis and on agreeing to join the Club he said "I am delighted to be appointed to this role and hope to work with the players to optimise their health, provide education to prevent injuries and look after them when they do suffer a knock. I hope the Club and I can grow together and I can play a role in driving the team towards success."

We would like to welcome Rajpal to the Club.
