Saturday 23rd February - City v Long Eaton United

If you are over 50 and struggle to get to games there is a Free Bus running in conjunction with Age UK, Inclusion in Sport and The Football Supporters Federation to our next home game on Saturday 23rd February. It departs Croft Road in Worcester at 2pm.

Older people are especially vulnerable to loneliness and social isolation – and it can have a serious effect on health.

People can become socially isolated for a variety of reasons, such as getting older or weaker, no longer being the hub of their family, leaving the workplace, the deaths of spouses and friends, or through disability / illness or in our case not having a football club to easily get to.

Whatever the cause, it's shockingly easy to be left feeling alone and vulnerable, which can lead to depression and a serious decline in physical health and wellbeing.

Someone who is lonely probably also finds it hard to reach out and older people tend not to ask for help because they have too much pride.

If you know of a supporter who is lonely or someone who might like to come to a game and you are unable to bring them, please let them know about this service.

To book a place please call Age UK on 01905 724294
