"Gloves to be hung up"

On Saturday, Sam Gilder will hang his gloves up following the game with Highgate United.

Age 31, Sam believes now is the time to finish his playing career and has this to say regarding his decision -

It’s been a very tough decision and something that I’ve thought a lot about over the past season. It was something I thought about last summer, but I then decided to give one more year. I think it’s the right time for me retire now. I’ve only recently turned 31 although it still seems young to stop playing it’s the right time. I'd like to thank all my previous managers, staff, players and supporters that I’ve met through playing football over the 16 years at senior level. I will still continue to support Cleeve, Evesham and Worcester and still look for their results.

We would like to give our thanks to Sam for his time with the Club and wish him well for the future.
