Barrow next for City in the Skrill Conference North

City will head up to Cumbria on Friday evening in preparation for Saturday's game at Barrow for the next Skrill Conference North fixture.

City buoyed by last Saturday's win over Stalybridge Celtic face a Barrow side who have gone 13 games unbeaten. Back in December both sides were near the bottom of the table but since then City have won six games and lost three whilst Barrow under the guidance of their new manager Darren Edmondson, formerly manager of Workington, have won ten and drawn three of their last thirteen games and both sides have shot up the table. in their last game The Bluebirds beat Colwyn Bay 2-1 away.

Edmondson's number two is Alex Meechan who had a brief spell with City last season, scoring the winning goal away at Boston United.

City went into last weeks game on the back of two defeats following the recall of Jamie Grimes to Kidderminster Harriers but Carl Heeley & his Coaching team brought in the vastly experienced Wayne Thomas whose impact was immediate bringing back the assured defensive performance which had been shown during the previous six games.

Speaking to City Match Reporter Kelly Holliday following the 2-1 win over Stalybridge Celtic City Manager Carl Heeley said, "He's a proper Centre Half, as soon as he came into the changing room he had a real presence about him, he won everything in the air and we looked really solid at the back."

Saturdays game will be covered by BBC Hereford & Worcester and for the latest updates follow the Live Stream via the Pitchero App (which can also be viewed via the Match Centre on the website).

If you would like to ask a question to Carl Heeley or any of the Coaching staff via WCFCTV please forward your question TODAY and it will be broadcast on the club website tomorrow (Thursday).
