City take on the Scholars at the Victoria Ground

Saturday 10th November sees the City boys take on Loughborough University in the Total Motion Midland Football League Premier Division (3pm Kickoff)

City returned to winning ways in the Midland Football League Cup on Wednesday night as we beat league rivals Highgate United 4-1 away from home. As we look to the weekends fixtures, City will be hoping to produce another victory against Loughborough University.

Last season City grabbed 4 points from 2 games against 'The Scholars', with a 2-1 victory at the Victoria Ground thanks to goals from former City men Alexandru Albert and Mark Danks, before a 1-1 draw at Loughborough where the main talking point was how much snow was falling during the match!

City and Loughborough have had good links before, with former City players such as George Williams, Dan Nti and Ebby Nelson-Addy all joined City after a spell at with the Scholars, before progressing to higher level football.

City currently sit 4th in the Midland Football League Premier Division, meanwhile the visitors sit 16th and yet to win away from home in the league this season.

At the Victoria Ground you will find cash turnstiles, club shop, a fully licenced bar and hot/cold food and drinks available from the food counter.
Match programme and 50:50 half time draw tickets will be on sale as you enter the ground, and from roaming sellers around the ground before kick off.
The Victoria Ground boasts a large, raised main stand which you may sit in at no extra cost, there's also covered standing areas behind one goal, and alongside the pitch opposite the main stand. If you're unsure of anything please don't hesitate to ask a steward, or at the club shop where a volunteer may be able to help you.

City Remembrance poppy pin badges will be available at the match, full details can be found here

Following a successful trial online commentary of the match last week, we will be continuing to bring live audio updates of the match, which you will be able to find on the club Facebook page from 2.50pm. You can also follow the key moments of the match on the club Twitter, or on the Worcester News live text blog.

We hope all City fans turn out to cheer on the City boys, as we look to close the gap on the top of the table. #KeepTheFaith
