Update on Parsonage Way - Policy and Resources Committee

Worcester City Council’s policy and resources committee unanimously agreed to endorse the principal of securing Worcester City Football Club a long term home at the Parsonage Way site.
The committee approved the three recommendations as detailed in the recent City Council report dated 11th September 2017.

Recommendations:-

1. That the Committee endorses the principles in the report to secure a long term home for Worcester City Football Club at Parsonage Way

2. That the Committee approves the allocation of funding of up to £100,000 to progress the proposals identified in the report, to be funded from the City Plan Fund

3. That the Committee delegates authority to the Corporate Director Finance and Resources, in consultation with the Chair and the Vice-chairs of the Policy and Resources Committee, to progress the commercial negotiations with the Worcestershire Football Association and Worcester City Football Club.

The Club will be working with a number of parties to submit an outline planning application for a pitch, a stand, a club house and flood lights at the site, which would be available for community use.
Further detail to follow shortly detailing the next stages of this initial process to Bring City Home.
