Home tie with Highgate United - come and show your support...

CITY return to the Wembley trail on Saturday with a home Buildbase FA Vase second round tie with Highgate United (kick-off 3.00pm).
After overcoming the challenge of Sherwood Colliery in the previous round, we now face a side who sit just one place below us in the Total Motion Midland Football League Premier Division table.
They beat Rushden and Higham United in the previous round and in former City man, Marco Addagio, and Lei Brown they have two strikers who have already scored over 30 goals between them.
For City, last weekend’s victory over Haughmond made it five games unbeaten and joint manager, John Snape, is ready for the latest challenge.
“Highgate are a big, physical side who will cause problems,” he admitted. “But we go into the tie with some momentum following our recent results and there is plenty of belief amongst the players.
“We’re going to have to be at it right from the off and match their work rate. If we can first of all win the battle, then I am confident that we have enough quality to get through.
“Obviously with a Wembley Final at the end of it, this is a competition that we want to do well in as the benefits both on and off-the-field are huge.
“It’s a case of taking it one game at a time, though, and Saturday it will be all about who wants it more. “
Come and show your support as we look to make it into round three...
