City eye a return to winning ways in the League following successive 1-1 draws...

CITY are back on the road again this weekend with a trip to Rocester in the Total Motion Midland Football League Premier Division (kick-off 3.00pm).
With successive 1-1 draws from our last two League games (against South Normanton Athletic and Sporting Khalsa), we will be looking to make a return to winning ways against a Rocester side who find themselves in 18th place in the table.
Our hosts have won two of their 11 League games so far – beating Quorn 5-3 and Stourport 2-1, with both games taking place over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
They have Oliver Roome and Martin Smyth both on eight goals in all competitions so far this season.
As for City, Nathan Hayward and Jamie Smith both sat out of Tuesday’s game at Sporting Khalsa having been involved in a car accident on the way to the game. It is hoped that both will be available for selection at the weekend.
The trip to Sporting Khalsa also saw Tyler Weir back in a City shirt following his departure from Hednesford Town earlier this week.
The game will take place at Hillsfield. The address for those making the journey is Mill Street, Rocester, Uttoxeter, Staffordshire ST14 5JX.
We hope to see as many of you as possible to really get behind the team.
