Snape ready to hit the ground running...

CITY turn our attention to Buildbase FA Vase matters on Saturday with a first round tie against Sherwood Colliery (kick-off 3.00pm).
We earned our place in this stage of the competition with a hard-fought 4-3 extra-time victory at Boldmere St. Michaels in the second qualifying round, whilst our opponents won 3-1 at Sandiacre Town.
“We’ve had them watched on a couple of occasions, including last weekend,” said joint manager, John Snape. “We’ve worked hard in our preparation this week so that we are ready to hit the ground running on Saturday.
“Sherwood Colliery have made a solid start to their League campaign and are undefeated in their opening eight games, so we are aware of the threats that they possess.
“We know that we’re going to have to start on the front-foot and we’re looking forward to getting out there and putting in a winning performance.
“We want to do well in every competition that we enter and it would be great for the club if we can progress in this one.”
Admission prices have been set, as follows: Adults: £6.00, Concessions & Students: £4.00 and Under 16s: £2.00. Come along and show your support!
Please note that extra-time will be played should the scores finish level after 90 minutes.
