CITY will be hoping to get our first taste of action in 2018 on Saturday as we head to Heanor Town (kick-off 3.00pm).
Following the disappointment of our New Year’s Day encounter with Bromsgrove Sporting being postponed, we will take to the field for the first time since Boxing Day when we played out a dramatic 3-3 draw with Sporting.
It extended our unbeaten run to three games as we sit fifth in the table, but with games in hand over those teams above us.
Heanor Town are seventh in the table and have won six of their 11 home League games, including a 3-2 triumph over South Normanton Athletic in their last encounter.
We beat them 3-0 at home in the August sunshine on the opening day of the season... who reckons that the weather will be slightly cooler this time around?
