Boss disappointed as we fail to put South Normanton Athletic to the sword...

CITY joint boss, John Snape, has given his verdict on our 1-1 home draw with South Normanton Athletic, a game which saw us reduced to ten men late in the first half when the returning Wayne Thomas was given a straight red card.

"It was a case of two points dropped," he said. "After a positive reaction from our previous game, we were guilty of missing chances to put this game to bed.

"Even with ten men I felt that we dominated the game, so we were gutted not to come out of it with the win.

"The goal that we conceded was a poor one as we gave their lad too much time in the box. It was a sucker-punch but we showed our resolve as we chased a winner but in the end our final ball let us down.

"There were positives to come out of the game and we will look to build upon these as our attention now turns to the next game.

"We've had Sherwood Colliery watched a few times and we'll be well-prepared to face them."
