Away to Evesham

Match report by Tristan Webby
On a bobbly pitch, one of the smallest we’ve played on, in windy conditions, Worcester travelled to hosts Evesham for a local derby clash.
Evesham took the lead after an unfortunate own goal and although Worcester were dominant, it was Evesham with the more clear cut chances, the score stayed at 1-0 as a result of a number of heroic Ben Clay saves.
Evesham however managed to double their lead from a corner in the 3rd quarter.
Worcester came out firing in the fourth and played more direct (which suited the pitch) and their pressure payed off after Jack Baker volleyed the ball beautifully into the top corner. Despite their best efforts Worcester couldn’t grab an equaliser. Evesham battled hard, but Worcester were unfortunate not to get anything from the game.
We wish Evesham all the best for the rest of the season.
