City up their game against Uttoxeter
By Nigel Upson
5 goals seal a deserved win against determined visitors.
City took the initiative early on with their midfield providing good service in behind the visitors back four.
Myles Simpson in particular was a threat and he set up Ethan Moran's opener. The visitors equalised after a jumble in The box following a high ball in but Riley Keasey made it 2.1 with a spectacular overhead kick from 12 yards to send City in with a deserved HT lead.
The visitors had a good spell for 10 minutes of the second half and should have equalised as City for some reason took their foot off the gas. However, they soon found their rhythm and their fast paced raking moves soon wore down the hard working Uttoxeter team and Myles Simpson, Emils Fedetovs and Keasey again all scored with three well taken goals to deliver a 5.1 win.
Uttoxeter were determined throughout but City could have added to their tally and were deserved winners at the close.
