City made to pay by Malvern Town

City dumped out of the FAYC by hard working Malvern
City were unceremoniously dumped out of the FAYC by a very hard working and organised Malvern Town side who deserved their victory.
City did have the better chances in the FT despite being thrown off their usual passing game by Malvern's determined approach and when two clear cut chances went begging early on the pattern was set.
Malvern hit the post on the break and City couldn't find a decent final ball or cross that was telling enough.
City did find the net but it was rulesd out for offside and a great save on 44 minutes denied City a 1.0 HT lead.
In the second half Malvern took the initiative and City couldn't find any real rhythm. Two goals in quick succession mid way through the half from Malvern, both well taken, sealed a victory for the visitors as City couldn't break them down and despite opportunities weren't able to fund a way back in.
0.2 at FT and City wish Malvern Town all the best in the competition.
