City U18's leave it late in County Cup

Cirmty taken to penalties and come out on top

City U18's dominated the play in this CC match verses a very well organised and determined Bromsgrove Sporting side.
The FH was full of endeavour by City and BS defended well as City couldn't quite make the final ball work. They played some neat possession football and it was their finishing that was key.
The BS GK saved a penalty and it was a superb save to be fair so 0.0 at HT.
City again took the initiative in the second half and BS were restricted to break always which did look promising on occasion. Dayus wasn't really troubled and as City again squandered chances, penalties looked like the only outcome.
0.0 at the final whistle saw both teams ready to step up for the shoot out and when Dayus saved BS's first penalty, the pressure was on to ensure City's went in and they did.
Milo Elmes converted City's final one with aplomb and City went through. It is never a good way to lose a game and BS deserve credit for their game management. All of the penalties were good quality as well as the one saved so well done to the lads from both sides who stepped up to take one.
City just about edged it overall and deserved their progression into the next round.
