City U18's run in five gainst Rugby
By NIGEL UPSON
Ciry U18's graft hard and are determined against well organised Ruby Borough
City were determined in this Cup tie and started well with the midfield' s passing game looking assured.
When Hassan Shah finished off a good move after 3 minutes City were in control and when Matty Patrick-Rivers added another on 9 minutes, Rugby were up against it.
However, unity and hard work in their ranks brought them back into it and they had a spell of good football and some penetration.
City though were more decisive and went in 2.0 up at HT.
City dominated the play in the second half and Riley Keasey added a 3rd with a great solo run and finish from the half way line. Tristan Webby and Olly Berry on the flanks were looking hard to handle and some very neat interplay from City created an opening for Joshua Schuk and he fired home his first for the Floodlit squad to make it 4.0.
More neat passing got Jack Baker in and he raced clear to slot home City's 5th and at 5.0 the hard working Rugby team knew the day was City's.
5.0 at FT.
City progressed on with a very well deserved win.
We wish Rugby all the best for the season. Great set of lads playing the game in the right spirit.
