The Blue And Whites return to league action on Tuesday evening when they welcome Bewdley Town to Claines Lane. It's the first home fixture in a month for City, which has seen some tough going on the road, in a month to forget.

Looking ahead, Bewdley Town are the guests, a side that The Blue And Whites comfortably saw off with a 6-0 victory in their last visit to Worcester. This season, Bewdley seem a rejuvenated side, who only just managed to dodge relegation in the previous campaign. Headed by Chris Cornes, the side from just up the Severn have picked up 2 wins, a draw and 2 defeats in their opening 5 league games this season, but appear to be leaky at the back, conceding 12 goals in those 5 games - the most in the league. Previous City players Jordan Stoddart, Kyonn Evans and Will Gibbons are amongst their ranks.

Speaking ahead of the game, City Manager Tim Harris commented, "Much has been said about our poor start to the season and no excuses can be applied. We have a group of players that are very talented and more than capable and I am shocked to see us where we are. We will get this right, and hopefully, have a break where something goes for us and we start to gain that winning feeling.

"We certainly owe you the supporters a good performance, so let's make some noise tomorrow. Get behind the lads, as we are determined to give you something to cheer.

"I am really looking forward to playing a home game tomorrow evening. The pitch here at Claines Lane is as good as I have seen it since I joined the club. Paul Loader, the groundsman has put in a shift, that’s for sure, and the investment made by the board is beginning to show dividends. Let's just see how it fares when we get in the depths of winter but credit where credit is due."
