City Team News for the Opening Game

We go into a new period of the History of Worcester City FC with the opening fixture at Aggborough when Altrincham are the visitors tomorrow (Saturday).

City will miss Sam Smith for the opening three games due to suspension picked up from last season and we will need surgery to repair an injury picked up in Pre Season.

Carl Heeley said, "We are looking forward to the game, we came as a Team to Aggborough for the first time on Tuesday evening & managed to get an hour on the pitch. For most of the lads it was their first visit to our new home & they can't wait to get on with the job"

He added, "We have a very young side, but they are very determined to prove a point and do their best for the Club. For those that don't make the starting line up for the Altrincham game, they will get an opportunity and we will have no qualms about shaking things up if we need to."

Tom Thorley hs been appointed Club Captain and Graham Hutchison has been appointed vice captain.

Shabir Khan and George Williams were both suffering from mild injuries earlier in the week but both are hoping to be fit.
