"Well done to all City Youth!"

There have been double celebrations for Worcester City Youth FC this week.

The Under 11 Girls capped a fantastic season by beating Kingfisher 3-1 to lift the Ron Handy Memorial Shield at Pershore Town FC.

Meanwhile the Under 13 Boys have reached the Nerf Junior Premier League national finals.

Goals from Harley Arnold, Damian Duncan, Joel Reeves and Roman Griffin saw off Wigan-based Atherton Colleries in a 4-1 semi-final win at Perdiswell.

The youngsters will now take on Oxfordshire RTC at Gloucester City on Saturday for the chance to lift the JPL trophy.

A good week also for Worcester City Lionesses Under 13s in the Mercian League. On Saturday, they held unbeaten Meadow Park Cobras to a goalless draw and followed up with another clean sheet in a 7-0 triumph over Kingfisher Youth with Maisie Jackson (2), Liv Burne, Sophie Guest, Kacey Kirkpatrick, Lily Wildmer and Melody Blake on the scoresheet.

The four points gained took them above their City Girls club-mates who lost 0-4 to Wyre Forest Phoenix but have four games in hand.

A depleted Under 13 Boys side rounded off their season with a 1-4 loss to Nunnery Wood Colts Typhoons with Levi Adusei-Hillel netting their consolation.

Finally, in a game of two halves, the Under 9 Blues played some lovely football during the first period of their friendly against Lane Head Phoenix before the second-half belonged more to their Bloxwich-based opponents.
