Worcester City Youth Under 9s took part in the Bristol Manor Tournament and returned up the M5 with the winners' trophy.
The team was one of 12 sides that entered - the majority from the Bristol and Weston-super-Mare area - and overcame Bristol City Reds in the final.
Another team hoping to win a trophy on their travels is the Under 11s, who head to Alford FC in Surrey for their JPL regional final on Saturday after getting past Solihull Academy on penalties in their local final last weekend.
A trio of City sides were eliminated from JPL competitions after progressing to the latter stages, including the Under 14s who lost 2-3 to Coventry Sky Blues.
The Under 12s and Under 15s were two of three sides to end up on the wrong side of 2-4 scorelines - the former bowing out of the JPL National Development Competition to Kettering Town Academy despite goals from Damian Duncan and Dan Bussey.
The Under 15s had a great chance to reach the last eight of the JPL Shield after a Jesse Asomugha brace put them 2-0 up at the break but they also went out after conceding four second-half goals to Leeds-based UFCA.
Meanwhile in the Mercian Football League, Oliver Bousfield and Zach Johnson netted for the Under 12s but it wasn't enough to defeat Areley Kings Youth.
In the final match of the weekend, the Under 10s played a 9v9 friendly against Wilden to prepare for their step up to a bigger pitch next season and will have no doubt benefited from that experience.
