Following on from the brilliant and inspiring England Lionesses, and their back-to-back victory in the Euros, Worcester City are delighted and excited to announce our brand new team, Worcester City FC Lionesses.
This is the next step in our Girls pathway, which was announced last season, and shows our commitment to the pathways for all WCFC footballers in Youth & Adult football.
Our Youth section has now grown to 34 teams for the upcoming season, with over 500 kids representing our famous club. Within the Youth, we now have Girls teams represented in each age group from U11 through to U17.
The Girls pathway is growing at a rapid & successful rate. Having Worcester City FC Lionesses at the top is a real step forward for the Club and our commitment to Girls football.
Following the success of the England Lionesses, and the momentum in Women's & Girls football, with Worcester City right at the heart of this growth within our local area, it is something the board, youth committee and all City fans can be proud of.
A huge welcome to Marc Kings, Manager of Worcester City FC Lionesses:
'I'm incredibly proud and excited to officially be a part of Worcester City FC Lionesses, as we join what, I believe, is the biggest and most prestigious football club in the area.
"We are honoured to become the official women's pathway team, supporting the clubs' already well-established girls' setup. This opportunity reflects both the ambition of Worcester City FC and our shared commitment to the continued growth of women's football in the region.
"Any players looking for a new challenge are welcome to attend our open training on Thursdays, 6:30pm - 8:30pm at Pershore College."
We have sponsorship opportunities available for the 2025/2026 season. Please contact Karl Evans via Email for more information.
