City took all three points against AFC Wulfrunians at a damp and soggy Claines Lane.
An attendance of 412 watched an impressive performance by City who on the day could have easily won by more.
Wulfrunians goalkeeper continually kept City out during the first half with Taylor Randle, Hartley, Baker and Hart all coming close.
But into the second half and City again were the brightest with the Wulfrunians keeper pulling off a few more brilliant stops.
In the 60th minute though, he was finally beaten. Reiss Taylor Randle picked the ball up on the edge of the box and tried his luck, a slight deflection off a defender and it helps the ball past the keeper. 1 v 0.
Four minutes later though, City gave away a cheap free kick around 20 - 25 yards out. Welding stepped up and hit the free kick into the top corner to make it 1 v 1.
City hit the winner though in the 75th minute as Baker feeds the ball to Hartley who left footed rifles the ball home.
Late Wulfrunians pressure was well defended by the City defence who saw us through to full time for a precious 3 points in our bid towards safety.
