A last minute equaliser earns City a point

The Blue And Whites made the short trip to Studley this afternoon in the Midland Football League, looking for back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

The hosts took the lead on 36 minutes following a long ball from Studley keeper Brendon Bunn. There was a mix-up at the back between Louis Salter and Harry Lewis, which saw Josh Beeson through on goal. He cooly slid the ball past Harrison to give the hosts the lead, which they held at the break.

City came out firing in the second half, looking for an equaliser, only to be denied by resolute Studley defending. Finally, the equaliser did come, as the clock ticked in to stoppage time. Dan Baldwin delivered a cross from deep and found Marvellous Onabirekhanlen on the spot to poke home, earning City a well-deserved point.

Today's point see's The Blue And Whites sit in 17th position in the league standing after 17 games played.

City will now have 7 days to recover ahead of next Saturday's trip to Wolverhampton Casuals.
