City come from behind to secure vital 3 points

Two second half goals saw City come from behind and secure a vital 3 points this afternoon, away at Uttoxeter Town.

The hosts took the lead on 9 minutes. A corner was swung in to the City box, which fell at the feet of Romehl Critchlow, who cooly backheeled through a crowd of players to open the scoring.

It took until the hour mark for City to draw level. Lorcan Sheehan found Jordan Stoddart from a freekick. The defender nodded it down in to the path of Marvellous Onabirekhanlen, who tapped home from close range.

With the wind in their sails, City then took the lead on 74 minutes. Neat play between Elliott Hartley and Onabirekhanlen saw Hartley free, who cooly placed the ball beyond the Uttoxeter keeper's reach.

Today's victory see's The Blue And Whites move 7 points clear of the relegation zone, with 2 games in hand, and up to 16th place in the standings.

It's a quick turnaround and another tough test that see's City make the trip to Wolverhampton Casuals for a 7:45pm kickoff on Tuesday evening.
