Worcester City Youth Football Club is delighted to announce the continued expansion and strengthening of our Girls Pathway, reinforcing our commitment to providing opportunities for girls at every stage of their football journey.
Beginning next season, we will introduce new Under‑9 and Under‑10 girls teams, adding to our rapidly growing Girls Youth Section. With these additions, our ambition is clear: to have at least one girls team in every age group from U9 through to U18, creating a complete and sustainable pathway for female players within our club.
As part of this development, girls aged 16 and above will have the chance to train alongside and with our Worcester City Lionesses Women’s First Team, ensuring a smooth transition into the adult game for those ready to take the next step.
Next season will also see our current U17 squad progress into Women’s football, feeding directly into the Lionesses. This marks a huge milestone for the club, as a wave of talented players who began in our youth system will now represent Worcester City at senior level. Their progression highlights the strength, quality, and long-term success of our Girls Pathway, as well as the dedication of our coaches, volunteers, parents, and players.
With ongoing investment, stability, and a clear development structure, the future of girls' and women’s football at Worcester City is exceptionally bright. We are committed to growing the female game locally and creating a pathway that inspires the next generation.
Moving forward, the Lionesses and the entire Girls Pathway will be based at our Archdales ground, which will serve as the home of Worcester City women’s and girls’ football.
Lionesses fixtures will continue to be played on Sundays at 2:00pm, and we encourage supporters, families, and the wider community to come and be part of this exciting journey.
Exciting times lie ahead for Worcester City’s female players. The pathway is strong, the vision is clear, and the future is ours to build.
