Four Worcester City Youth teams got even more kicks from their training this week as they helped to support the fantastic fund-raising for Oscar Saxelby-Lee.
Under 7, Under 8, Under 9 and Under 11 squads donned nightwear for their Nunnery Wood sessions – the privilege of wearing pyjamas generating a donation of over £300 for the Hand in Hand for Oscar campaign.
Five-year-old Oscar, who suffers from T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, has captured the hearts of the people of Worcestershire who raised a staggering £500,000 in just three weeks to pay for potentially life-saving treatment for him in Singapore.
More than £300 was also collected for Oscar’s appeal at last Saturday’s first team home game versus Long Eaton United.
