Worcester City Youth teams did themselves and the Club proud at a couple of local tournaments at the weekend.

At the Nunnery Wood Colts tournament, a trio of City sides went unbeaten with two teams coming away with silverware including the Under 8s (pictured) who were awarded the Fair Play Trophy.

The Under 10s let in just one goal on their way to winning their age group competition, whilst the Under 14s conceded none in winning seven and drawing two games. They were mightily unlucky to miss out on the tournament trophy after being pipped by a single point by Racing Club Warwick who they had beaten 3-0 in their round-robin clash.

Both Under 9 and Under 12 teams also performed well in Evesham United's Festival of Football.

The Under 9s won five and drew two matches, scoring 25 goals and conceding just two in the process, before they were beaten by a single goal in the semi-finals. Also reaching the last four of their competition, the Under 12s were denied a place in the final after losing in a sudden death penalty shoot-out.
