Words from the captain and vice-captain

"As Captain and Vice Captain, we would like to apologise on behalf of the players for the poor start to the season.

"We had a good pre-season and there can be no excuses or hiding places. We, as players, have to take responsibility and be accountable, as we are letting ourselves, the management staff, the fans, and this great club down.

"All of us appreciate the time, money, and effort you all put in to supporting the team across the country, and we are under no illusion that a big turnaround is required to make this season a positive and enjoyable one for all involved. That being said, we are doing everything we can to turn around our current predicament, including taking ourselves out of our comfort zone for a different sort of training session.

"Ultimately, we are normal blokes with families who bear the brunt of our disappointment following a bad result.

"To the fans, it’s not the start any of us wanted. We appreciate every single one of you, for your time and patience, whilst we navigate this blip at a very early stage of the season.

"We hope to see as many of you at Shifnal as possible, a tough place to go and get a result in any circumstances. If you can't travel on Saturday we will hope to see you next Tuesday evening, after 5 games away from home, when we entertain Bewdley Town at Claines Lane.
