Worcester City return to Sixways on Tuesday night looking to continue their impressive form as they host Stourbridge in Southern League Premier Central action.

The sides last met in late October when City showed real character to snatch a point at the death. Paul Downing scored a dramatic equaliser to secure a 2-2 draw on the road, and City will be aiming to build on that momentum in front of the home supporters.

Stourbridge arrive searching for a much-needed lift. They have struggled in recent weeks and are without a league win in their last ten games, with their most recent victory coming against Bishop’s Stortford back in early September. There have been signs of improvement, however, as the Glassboys have bolstered their squad with five new signings in recent weeks. They earned a point on Saturday in a lively 3-3 draw with Bromsgrove, a result that showed renewed fight.

City head into the match full of confidence after a strong 2-0 win at Barwell on Saturday, a result that lifted them up to eighth in the table. The team is unbeaten in six league games, winning five and drawing one, and have looked solid at both ends of the pitch. With a fully fit squad available, Tuesday represents another valuable opportunity to keep climbing the table. A victory could see City finish the evening in the playoff positions, dependent on results elsewhere on the night.
