Worcester City are in action this Good Friday as they take on Bury Town away from home in the Southern Premier Division Central.
City secured all three points on Saturday against Needham Market thanks to a last-minute winner by Brandon Smalley. This gave City a vital boost as we head into the final five games of the season. City are in mixed form away from home, having not won any of the last three, but were previously unbeaten in six before that.
Meanwhile, Bury have only won one of their last five games, including three draws and one loss. However, they are strong at home, having not lost there since the 29th of November in a 2-1 loss to Stratford Town.
City currently sit 8th on 57 points, just four points off the playoffs. Bury are currently 13th, seven points behind City.
The two teams met back in August in what was an action-packed match, ending 2-2, with both teams getting a red card in the first half to make it 10 vs 10. City rescued a draw in the dying minutes thanks to a 92nd-minute goal from Zac Guinan.
Some recent team news includes the signings of attacker Cameron Wilson and goalkeeper Cristiano Dzialuk on loan from Derby County for the remainder of the season.
As we enter the final games of the season, it is still all to play for.
