Saturday 17th Jan - 3pm

City return to action at Sixways again this weekend as they take on Stamford AFC in the Southern League Premier Central.

City are coming off a disappointing 1-0 loss at home to Banbury United last Saturday, narrowly beaten in a game that could have gone either way, with the visitors taking all 3 points with a late strike.

Stamford currently sit bottom of the league on thirteen points and are eleven points off safety. They are in poor form, having lost their last three games all away from home and failed to score in all of them.

City have been in mixed form recently, winning two, losing two and drawing one in the last five games. City are currently 9th in the table, having found consistency hard over the last few weeks but are still in a good position with only two points separating them from the teams sitting in the playoff places.

The last time City played Stamford was in November, with City running out 3-0 winners in a dominant performance, goals coming from Sweeney, Lockett and Belmonte.

Some recent team news includes the arrival of Goalkeeper Sam Kane on loan from Derby County, and Zac Guinan joining Alvechurch on a one-month loan to get some more minutes.

City will be hoping to end the afternoon at Sixways with all three points, against a team who will be low on confidence.
