Preview: A Tough Test At Spalding Awaits

Preview: A Tough Test At Spalding Awaits

Lee Jackson12 Dec - 11:09

Saturday 13th Dec - 3pm

Worcester City take on top of the table Spalding United this Saturday in the Southern League Premier Central.

City are coming off a disappointing loss to St Ives Town in which they conceded two second half goals after going ahead early in the game. City have lost three of their last four games, however they still find themselves in a good position, sitting 9th in the league table and only five points off the playoffs.

Spalding have been on a great run, leaving them four points clear at the top. They have won their last five games, including four home wins and a 7-0 away victory against Redditch United.

City will rely on their strong defence, which has only conceded twenty-one goals, as Spalding are the best attacking side in the league. They have scored in every league game so far this season and have fifty-six goals in twenty-one matches.

A win for City against the league leaders would be a big boost in confidence and could reignite momentum for the rest of the season.
