Worcester City take on Bishop’s Stortford this weekend in the Southern League Premier Central.
City are coming off the back of a much-needed 1-0 victory over Stratford Town last weekend in which Dan Sweeney scored his 11th goal of the season. City had previously lost their last three home games, so the win will be a big confidence boost coming into this.
Bishops Stortford have not won in their last four games, which has seen them fall to 14th in the league table. City currently sit 11th, but a win could see them rise to 8th if results go their way.
These teams previously met in October, with City coming out with a 2-0 victory thanks to a goal from Dan Sweeney and a spectacular own goal from Stortford's right-back, lobbing his own keeper from 30 yards.
City haven’t lost away from home since December. Despite being in mixed form over recent weeks, they have shown they are capable of putting in strong performances on the road, as they go looking for back-to-back victories for the first time since November.
