Joint boss on our set-back at Shawbury United...

IT WAS a bad day at the office for City on Saturday as we slipped to a 2-1 defeat at struggling Shawbury United.
To add to the disappointment, Mark Danks was given a straight red card during the opening period.
“It was a poor performance,” admitted joint-manager, John Snape. “We failed to match the desire of our hosts and made a slow start, from which we never properly recovered.
“We tried to change a few things around at half-time as we chased the game and in the second half we restricted the number of chances that they had whilst creating some decent opportunities of our own.
“Sadly we weren’t clinical enough when it mattered and it ended up costing us.
"The challenge now is for us to be able to respond in the right way in our next game.
“We have to get back at it and can’t afford to dwell too much on this defeat.”
City’s next game sees us play host to South Normanton Athletic on Saturday (kick-off 3.00pm).
