City Manager Tim Harris full of praise for Reserves trophy win.

Tim Harris, City Manager
- Congratulations to all involved

City’s Reserves were crowned WFA Saturday Junior Cup winners after an emphatic 6-2 win over Kidderminster Harriers in the final on a sweltering afternoon at Claines Lane.

Harry Fletcher and Adam Turner put City two up in the first-half – both goals assisted by Owen Oxley, who then set up Kane Harold for a third shortly after the interval.

Harriers pulled a goal back before Oxley restored his side’s three-goal lead with a penalty.

The opposition pulled the score back to 2-4 but any chance of a comeback soon diminished as Mateusz Klich tucked home a fifth.

Oxley put the icing on a superb victory and secured the silverware when he netted again in the closing stages.

City Manager Tim Harris who attended the game said, "Congratulations to all involved it was a really good all round performance, the lads fully deserved the victory and to lift the trophy.
Steve Humphrys and Andy Swatton have put together a very talented group and they can all be very proud of themselves. I was extremely delighted they have been rewarded for their hard work and efforts throughout what has been a difficult season for everyone.
I am sure we will see some of these players having the opportunity in pre - season to be part of the First Team squad for the coming season".

City will be hoping for more county cup success when two more of its teams play finals on Saturday. Good luck to both the Under 14s, who meet West Worcester, and the Under 15s in action against TDMS.
