DOUBLE GLORY FOR WORCESTER CITY U8s JPL SIDE
Worcester City’s U8s Junior Premier League side have achieved an incredible feat, securing two major titles in the 2024/25 season! Having set their sights on winning the Junior Premier League, the young stars exceeded expectations by clinching both the Winter Cup and the Spring Cup—with a game to spare on both occasions.
The team has gone unbeaten throughout the competition, netting 33 goals in the spring phase alone. Their incredible performances have now earned them a place in the National Finals, capping off an extraordinary season.
This squad has grown in strength and confidence, and their journey has been nothing short of spectacular. Everyone at the club is immensely proud of their achievements, and with the National Finals ahead, there’s still more to come!
WEEKEND YOUTH ROUND-UP
U16s: An emphatic 11-3 victory over Birmingham showcased the team’s attacking prowess. A top performance all around.
U10s Mercian: Despite a 4-2 loss to Nunnery Wood, the team showed great character, winning the final 50 minutes 2-1 after a tough start.
U14 Girls Whites: A dominant 9-2 away win at Kingfisher Youth, with the squad continuing to improve every game. Fantastic teamwork!
U13 Girls: A hard-fought 0-0 draw against Worcester United, controlling the game but unable to find the breakthrough.
U12 Blues: A 4-1 away win over Staffordshire RTC in the Cup sees the team progress to the quarter-finals next weekend. A brilliant team effort!
U16 Girls: A stunning 10-0 away win at Tamworth, with Soph leading the way with five goals and two assists. The team sits three points clear at the top of the league.
U15s: A crucial 4-2 victory over Rushden & Diamonds in the National Premier Conference—the team’s first league win, with several games in hand. A step in the right direction!
U10s JPL: 7-2 winners over Bilbrook, remaining undefeated in the Spring Cup with another strong display.
U14s Whites JPL: A 4-1 win against a tough and physical Leicester City Women U16s side—an impressive performance from the lads.
U11 Blues: A 1-1 draw away to Berkswich sees them finish the Spring Competitive Group undefeated. Unlucky not to win, having hit the woodwork and missed a penalty, but a strong campaign overall.
City Blues U9s Mercian: A 6-1 away win at Evesham United extends their unbeaten run. Having lost to Evesham back in December, this performance shows how far they’ve come—some truly outstanding goals!
