City draw with Hereford

Worcester welcomed the new Hereford FC to Pershore 3G for a late kick off 2 pm
The delay being down to the previous users starting late on.
The game commenced and Hereford were well drilled and organised and started the brightest of the 2 teams and Worcester were caught out with this with too many gaps developing in the midfield between the defence and midfield and allowing Hereford to pick pockets of space up.
Hereford were rewarded for their good play after the excellent Hereford no 9 bullied the Worcester defence and with the Worcester defence dropping off this allowed the time and space for them to get a shot off and the first goal scored by Hereford after a good move 0-1 Hereford
Worcester continued to battle and had a few shots that went over and some free kicks that were saved comfortably by the excellent Hereford keeper.
The second quarter started and changers were made for Worcester and the midfield shuffled around and the forward line changed, and an immediate impact was made with Tom Williams hitting a strong powerful shot into the roof of the net 1-1 Hereford responded very well and again counter attacked down the Worcester left and got in behind after the Hereford player was allowed to turn and drive to the box to cross to the far post for the runner to slot home, good goal. 1-2 Hereford
Worcester reacted very well and again Williams found himself 1v1 with the keeper after 3 similar attempts this time slotted calmly across the face of the goal 2-2 end of qtr 2
The third quarter Worcester took control of the game and the midfield was being dominated by Tom Allen and Will. Mahoney. Chance after chance was being created and the Hereford goal was being laid to siege, however the Hereford keeper was having a blinder.
The score remained the same for the rest of the game with Worcester possibly regretting not shooting at crucial times. A good game for the spectators and some very good individual performances on both sides.
We wish Gareth all the best for the future and the best of luck to Hereford FC going forward from all at Worcester City Football club.
