City masterclass produces super result

Worcester welcomed Kidderminster Harriers to their 3G facility at Worcester University.
The game was tipped to be another good game with harriers looking to repeat their industrious play they kept up in last weeks local derby.
Worcester however had prepared with 2 fantastic training sessions in the week and worked on specifics that would possibly see Worcester triumph today.
The game started and straight from the off.city showed their intent by keeping their shape and winning the ball quickly with quick transition from the number 4 position and playing through the number 10 who in turn brought players into the playmaking the pitch wide and long and breaking wth hard & fast runs on and off the ball.
It was 1 minute before City opened the scoring through Arron Brett who found himself one on one and coolly slotted home 1-0 city

City's discipline and shape was forcing the harriers players to drop deep and trying to find time to play but the high press of the front 4 of the 4, 2 3 1 team shape saw City win the ball back and a strong run from Tom Williams saw Williams burst through and finish nicely 2-0 5 mins gone
The game re started and Kidderminster tried to forward quickly but again were smothered on the ball with excellent city play and Brett found Tom smith on the right wing who drifted past the harriers defender and drive into the box to score an excellent goal 3-0 City
The first quarter ended and Worcester were well in command of the game the second qtr started and again City were moving the ball with ease switching play from left to right and playing keep ball.
Harriers were working hard and had the occasional break through the powerful Ryan power but he met his match with Jordan Maddocks backed up by Dan Sutton at the back.
The play was again restarted and through the midfield the links were again made and Jamie Power delivered a ball across from the left and caused mayhem in the harriers defence and the ball broke to Brett again close in to make it 4-0 City

The game progressed and City were to add another from Williams and a sublime goal from Brett who clipped the harriers keeper from just inside the centre circle to make it 6-0 at the halfway stage
The third quarter city restarted with a 35 pass move and kept the ball with patience and great technique that saw them almost score again, but credit to the harriers for their hard work and their impressive keepers who kept the score down.
City hit the bar 5 times and the post twice, city were rampant and surely could not maintain the level of play and the levels slowly dropped off allowing harriers to push city a bit deeper and they were to earn themselves a penalty with the sharp Josh Barnes Converting 6-1 City

The game restarted and Williams completed his hat trick to make the game 7-1 and complete a fantastic performance from Worcester and great hard work from. Harriers
