Worcester Defeated

Today we played in a “top of the table clash” against Stourbridge FC. This was an eagerly awaited game, which didn’t disappoint. For long periods of the game Worcester had a lot of the possession although came up against a very strong and resolute Stourbridge side who largely played on the break. Despite not having a lot of the ball, Stourbridge scored a number of break away goals on the counter attack and in the end ran out clear winners by 5-1. The score line did not really reflect the game as a whole, although Worcester’s passing style will see them develop as the season progresses. Worcester’s only game was scored by Tom Mills from the penalty spot.
