Today we welcomed Bath to Perdiswell for a friendly fixture. The conditions were dry and the pitch was in excellent condition
Q1 - The first quarter saw Worcester enjoy most of the possession and Bath struggled to get a foothold in the game although in truth neither keeper was really troubled and the quarter ended 0-0.
Q2 - The second quarter saw Bath press much higher up the pitch and they were a little unlucky to go behind to a Tom Mills penalty after Tom Griffin had been up-ended in the box. Worcester were soon two ahead after Tom Mills headed the ball over the line from an Olly Berry corner. 2-0
Q3 - The game was now being fiercely contested which saw some strong, but fair, challenges going in by both sides. Despite Bath enjoying more of the game in the third quarter they were unable to reduce the deficit and the score remained 2-0.
Q4 - The final quarter saw Worcester freestyle a little and the game became a very open affair. Both sides had opportunities and Bath scored an excellent goal to make the score line 2-1. Any nerves that Worcester had were soon settled when Finn Syson put Callum Lovegrove clean through, but the keeper brought him down as he went round him. It was Callum himself who fired the penalty into the roof of the net to make the final score 3-1.
This was a well contested game between two good sides.
