Match report by Daren Mills

Today we welcomed Solihull U18 floodlit team for a friendly at Perdiswell. The conditions were cold with the temperature close to freezing.

1st half - Worcester started the game slowly and were undone by two quick goals when Solihull got in behind the Worcester defence. Both goals were well taken and there was nothing that Ben Clay in the Worcester goal could have done to prevent them. Midway way through the half the homeside pulled a goal back after Tom Mills found Cameron Montieth on the wing. Cameron’s cross into the box was only partially cleared by the Solihull defence and the ball was powered home into the top corner of the net by Josh Schuck from the edge of the area - a great finish!! Worcester continued to enjoy a good share of the ball although the homeside were largely restricted to long range efforts.

2nd half - Solihull got a third soon after the restart which was almost a carbon copy of their second. Worcester continued to plug away and had a couple of half chances to reduce the deficit which were not taken and the game was put to bed with a fourth for Solihull midway through the half. The homeside continued to battle although found it hard to break down a well organised Solihull defence. In truth it looked more likely that Solihull would extend their lead than Worcester find a way back into the game although there were no further goals scored by either side.

Today Worcester were not at their best, although this was a good run out for the lads against a well organised side.
