Match report by Daren Mills

Today we made the trip to Leicestershire to play a friendly against Brooke College. There was a strong wind blowing across the pitch which made the conditions a little difficult to play in.

First Half - The home side started the game on the front foot and dominated the early exchanges and for the first 20 minutes Worcester were chasing shadows, such was the movement of the Brooke players. It was no surprise when Brooke took the lead with a well taken shot into the corner of the net which was no more than they deserved. The goal seemed to spark Worcester into life and Curtis Turner forced the home keeper into a smart save as Worcester went in search of an equaliser. Shortly before half time Harris put Matty Patrick Rivers clean through and he kept his cool to slot the ball past the advancing keeper. Worcester had battled hard in the later stages of the half although the equaliser was probably a little harsh on the home side. 1 - 1

Second Half - In the second half, Worcester were far more resolute in defence and strong in midfield. Both sides were patient in possession, but chances were at a premium. Worcester looked the stronger of the sides as the game wore on and Worcester found a winner with almost the last kick of the ball when Tom Griffin found Olly Berry on the edge of the area and Olly calmly rounded the keeper before slotting the ball into the empty net. 2 - 1

This was a good physical game which was played with the intensity of a league game.
