Today we welcomed Stourport Swifts for a friendly at Perdiswell. The conditions were cold and there was a strong wind blowing across the pitch.
Both sides went close to scoring early on although it took a while for the deadlock to be broken. The goal came when a through ball from Matty Patrick-Rivers was headed back out to him by a Stourport defender and he hit an unstoppable shot from the edge of the area into the top corner of the net. A wonder goal!!
Worcester continued to try and play their football in the second half although this became increasingly difficult as the conditions deteriorated. Stourport got an equaliser towards the end of the game when their striker scored with a well taken headed goal.
The match ended 1-1 which on balance was probably a fair reflection of the game.
