City U18s lose to local rivals Evesham U18s

Worcester welcomed Evesham to the Dell Stadium for their 3rd floodlit match of the year.

First Half
Evesham started the better side and quickly took the lead through a header from a close range free kick. 0-1.

Worcester really struggled to find their feet and after an unfortunate event at the back, an own goal put them 2 behind. 0-2.

Worcester’s struggles continued for the rest of the second half as they couldn’t seem to find their rhythm, however a brilliant left footed volley from Jack Baker brought them back into the game just before half time. 1-2.

Second Half
The second half started with Worcester on top as they were pressing to get another goal, however it was Evesham who scored after 70 mins against the run of play to make it 3-1.

Worcester managed to pull a goal back through Matty Patrick Rivers after a Kane Harold cross, however despite their constant pressure, they couldn’t find an equaliser. The game ended 2-3.

It was a night to forget for Worcester as they were nowhere near their best. Credit to an Evesham side who fought hard and took their chances. We wish them all the best for the rest of the season.
