Today Worcester city u12’s visited Kidderminster harriers centre of excellence.
There wasn’t much that was excellent about the facilities, goals or pitch so it was a scrappy game to start in scrappy conditions.
Worcester dominated possession but were maybe playing a little deep to start and struggled to open their account, but it did come from a corner with a neat finish to the far post to put us one up.
After the first goal Worcester settled and really dominated the game from there on, with great goals from Bora, Thomas, Lewis, Ollie and Charlie and some slick passing to win the game 8-1 eventually.
Today was a real show of character, the boys had to stick together as a team and support each other through bad conditions, some dubious decisions and a few knocks.
We are really proud how they reacted to all the difficulties they faced this morning.
We will face better teams but you can only beat what is in front of you.
Well done to every single one of them.
Man of the match, Ollie, he used his blistering pace today to cause no end of defence problems for Kidderminster.
On to the next.
